Heel pain is often referred to as plantar fasciitis. This condition plagues many individuals especially those with flat feet or no arch support.
Plantar Fasciitis is the inflammation of the tissues of the heel and underside of the foot. This occurs with chronic overstretching of the tissue with overtraining, flat feet, or inadequate arch support.
Treatment includes pain relief and the restoration of the arch. The arch can be restored through proper footwear, arch supports, taping, and stretches and strengthening exercises.
